Questions and Answers

“No Dumb Christians, Only Smart Christians,” is the personal vision Pastor Dion Evans has for all the Vesselities at Chosen Vessels Christian Church, Alameda.  By “Smart Christians” it is meant – Believers in the LORD Jesus Christ who study the Word of God, daily, with the purpose of “knowing” God’s Word and therefore properly applying God’s Word within their daily lifestyle.

Pastor Dion believes that today’s church has become “top heavy.”  He states, “So many Christians, today, desire to know God’s Word so that they can properly argue with others and or feel smart when conversations regarding God are started.  God is not even interested in a person learning HIS Word to showcase in front of others.  God’s Word is to be study for the purposes of living.”

One thing Pastor Dion has been instilling into the minds of the Chosen Vessels Christian Church members is this – LET GOD OWN SPACE IN YOUR BRAIN!  What he means by this is – far too many people allow issues to be remembered in their mind – past hurts, old show tunes, favorite pastimes, old pals, etc.  When it comes to God, the same person feels as though they can not ‘remember’ God’s Word.  Some will even say, “My mind is bad.  I can’t remember things.”  Pastor Dion reminds us to stop such nonsense and allow God to purchase space in our brain.  Stop letting TV show tunes have purchase power and not God’s Word.  Stop letting past hurts have purchase power and allow God’s Word to own that space.  You get the picture.
