Chosen Vessels is a church that is dedicated to serving the communities of the Bay Area and beyond in a variety of ways that empower individuals and families to live the best lives.  All events and functions are open to everyone and we hope you join us as we continue to host events for everyone to learn and enjoy.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 3 - SATUARDAY, JANUARY 6: REVIVAL CONFERENCE 
7 P.M.

Members and the community are invited to a four day Revival Conference hosted by Chosen Vessels Christian Church in Alameda beginning Wednesday, January 3 and ending on Saturday, January 6.  The Revival will begin at 7 p.m. each night with the exception of Saturday which will start at 8 a.m. Joining Pastor Dion Evans, Senior Pastor of Chosen Vessels, is Dr. Earl C. Stuckey of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church in Berkeley, Dr. Kevin Barnes of Abyssinian Baptist Church in Oakland and Dr. Don Beall of Lincoln Hill Community Church in San Rafael.  Perfectly centered around the new year, this year’s revival theme “Maturing in Christ” comes at a time when many are seeking new beginnings in the new year.  The Revival will focus on leading Christians to start practicing principles that will lead to Christian maturity.  In addition, they not only need to live these principles but share them as well.  Mother Clara Bell of Chosen Vessels will also join the Revival on Saturday to discuss women maturing in Christ. 

 

SATURDAY, JANUARY 13 - CREDIT SEMINAR: IMPROVE YOUR CREDIT SCORE IN 8 WEEKS (FREE), 10 A.M.

Chosen Vessels Christian Church is teaming up with Stanya Taylor to offer 10 couples and individuals the opportunity to improve their credit score over an with week period.  Everyone is invited to attend the initial seminar which will begin at 10 a.m.  Each participant is asked to bring the following information:
 
Social Security Card
Drivers License
Copy of all bills
Copy of letters from collection agencies, etc.
Copy of current lease
Copy of credit report if they have it
A list of questions that they want to ask
Anything pertaining to their credit history
 
By the end of the day, 10 couples and individuals will be selected to work with Ms. Taylor over 8 weeks to gain a better understanding of their own credit profile, what can hurt it and what can help it. In addition, their credit score should improve by at least 20 - 50 points.

MONDAY, JANUARY 15 - P.A.A.A.U.S.E (Promoting Alameda African American Unity and Expression)

Residents of Alameda are invited to the first monthly community event hosted by Chosen Vessels Christian Church and the Alameda Police Department. The event will kick off with a viewing of the "Eyes On The Prize" which documents the Civil Rights Movement. Following the documentary will be a meet and greet with the Alameda Police Department and Chief Walter Tibbet.  The community is encouraged to come out to learn about resources available as well as career opportunities. 
 
P.A.A.A.U.S.E meetings will take place on the third Monday of each month and will discuss different topics aimed at building positive relationships that will continue to make Alameda a wonderful place to live and work.
